Happy First Day of Autumn

My sincere pumpkin patch (note picture was taken the end of August).

The plants are bigger now, but no pumpkins yet.

Happy first day of autumn! It's almost been like fall here, of course the desert fall means mid to high eighties for temps during the day and lows in the high seventies, low sixties at night. But, alas, no trees that turn. No leaves that fall.

And no knitting getting done. Sigh... (a Charlie Brown moment)...

I can't imagine a fall like yours! To be able to wear shorts! WOW! We're one week away from winter coats... ha ha...

It is getting chilly here and the leaves are turning such pretty colors.I love fall but hate the winter that comes after it.

It is no wonder no knititng with kids and being a good mom.

Happy Autumn!

It's hard for me to imagine a fall without leaves that, well, fall. Today the boys raked leaves and jumped in piles. All great fun. The leaves haven't really turned yet and they're predicting a bad year foliage wise. I just look forward to the colors.
