A Strange Weather Day

Today was some of the strangest weather we've had in the desert for quite some time. It rained most of the morning and the sun came out for about ten minutes, just long enough for me to take these two pictures of the mountains and the snow.

This is looking north east from the kids' school parking lot.

So, the sun came out for this little bit, I went inside to give something to the LittleOne's teacher, and came out and it looked like it was snowing! It was sleet/rain! (No picture of that!)

These are my geraniums with the pea sized hail about an hour after we got home from school. (Oh, yeah, the sun came out for about 15 minutes and then hail!)

Now the sun's out again! What a strange weather day.

I love rainy days like this - too bad I had to work - I would have loved to curl up with a good book and one or both of the dogs and stayed warms. I wonder if Mt. L. will be open this weekend - we haven't played in the snow this year.

Yes your weather was different but sounds better than mine.Your pictures look beautiful! I can't believe you can have flowers outside. In NE Pa we have had ice and snow last few days with schools closed and lots of dangerous driving.

That does sound like a strange weather day!

I still have the flowers because it really doesn't get too cold overnight for a lot of days in a row. Those geraniums are hearty (if you look real close, you can see which one the rabbits like).

We have had some strange weather too here in STG. Super bowl Sunday is rained to beat the band, then wet sloppy snow. During the night it snowed a little in town but at Zion 6-8 inches! Pictures to come later this week.
