Just thought you all would like to see some of the cactus flowers that I see every day when we walk Ella through the desert. Don't you just love this pink?Went on a field trip with Munchkin's class today to a desert park/garden, but of course, I forgot my camera. I can't believe they're done with school next week! Ack!

I do love that pink, and the yellow flowers are pretty too.
Gorgeous cacti!
How amazing!
Congrats! You are one of the winners of my caption contest...check out today's post to claim your winnings.
I hope that some day DH and I can see cactus up close and in the desert. We have been talking about spending winters in the south and I do not want to go to FL. I do not want to worry about hurricanes and tornados.
So glad you posted these pictures, I love to see what life is like in other parts of the US.
Take care and KNIT ON!
I love the pink but my favorites have always been the lemon-yellow flowers on the prickly pear - not the plain yellow or orange yellow the lemon yellow. I also am in LOVE with the reddish prickly pear flowers. I wish we had these colors all year. We drove over to my IL's and their street was pure yellow with the palo verde blooming and all the prickly pear. This is my favorite time in the desert and the temps lately have made it moreso!
Congrats on winning that caption contest! I won too! I can't find her email address anywhere on her blog so don't know how to get in touch with her to give her my mailing address. I may just donate the to her walkathon instead. Have so much yarn now I will not live long enough to use it all up.
Weather is great here this morning so will be heading to camp as soon as I finish breakfast and get dressed. I will be one hurting unit tonight, but it will be well worth it. I hope to be able to post once a week when I come to town to shop and pay bills. Maybe we should put the phone back in at camp and then I can get dial-up internet again. But then I won't get any knitting done! This is the time of year I do the most knitting. Laying in the sun and either knit or read a book, and watch the hummingbirds! Have three already with just one feeder out!
KNIT ON!
